GLORY VILLAGE is a Central Government Registered Voluntary Social Services Non Governmental Organization which operates throughout the country since 1994, warmly welcomes well-wishers to join hands today.....to help the poor and needy elders and orphans and to organize this GLORY VILLAGE a success.

We are a Charity Organization, registered as Voluntary Social Services , Non Governmental Organization under The Central Government of Sri Lanka to serve throughout the country and also affiliated with South Asian Regional Non Governmental Organizations , making every effort in planning for a vastly spread-out VILLAGE as " GLORY VILLAGE " for the Elderly People and Orphans who desperately in need of Food , Clothing , Medical attention , Shelter, Care etc.,through sheer kindness and affectionate love without any barriers.
We have made necessary arrangements and emphasized ways and means to provide all the required facilities to these needy people, " FREE OF CHARGE " without any Religious, Caste,Creed or Language discrimination.
All the requisite recommendations and approvals have been received from the Government Sources in order to materialize the future plans of this Charity Institution in the Up Country region covering Nuwara-Eliya ,Badulla , Matale and Kandy Districts where the poorest of the poor lives and also covering the North and East provinces which was severely effected due to the war.
Even though, we got the approvals from the Central Government,in year 2002 as a National NGO , the Organizing Committee has been experiencing utmost difficulties to proceed further.
After much thought and consultation, the Organizing Committee derived to a conclusion, have decided to approach and seek the support of the DONORS & WELL-WISHERS, who really and especially understand the gravity of the Elderly People and innocent Orphans.
Initially to implement this project, we very much eagerly solicit your kind and sincere support at this stage, which could be done MATERIALLY in many ways or FINANCIALLY.
In order to make this project a success, we shall be most highly pleased and appreciate your Kind co-operation and willing hearted help.

Our current projects under the umbrella of " GLORY - VILLAGE SUPPORT SERVICES " are as follows :-
(1)
FREE CATARACT EYE SURGERIES for the poorest of the poor elders
(2)
MEDICAL CLINICS - EYE
GLORY VILLAGE helps needy elders by providing FREE CATARACT EYE SURGERIES throughout the country and Conduct TWO MEDICAL CLINICS per month , mainly in the Rural Villages covering interior undeveloped TEA PLANTATIONS .
We have already Conducted more than two hundred and seventy five ( 275 ) sessions , and provided more than two hundred and fifty thousand ( 250,000 ) SPECTACLES to the needy since 1994

MEDICAL CLINICS - DIABETICS
Considering the higher rate of Diabetic
Patients in the country we are providing FREE DIABETIC BLOOD CHECK UPS to the poor & needy and Medical Support,Diabetic Awareness Programs and assistance to admit those serious patients to the Government Hospitals for further treatment.

ELDERS & CHILDREN HOME -SUPPORT SERVICES.
Since 1994, We have been providing Medical and Material support like Bed Linen, Pillows, Clothes, Furniture, Cooking utensils etc, to many Elders' Homes and Orphanages throughout the country.

GOATS AND MILKING COWS TO THE POOREST FAMILIES.
We support the poorest in the up country region by providing them with GOATS and COWS for MILKING and MILK PRODUCTS etc,.
Our organization also ready to go ahead with many income generating projects to support and provide basic education , training and employment with basic facilities to the needy girls and boys in the field of Animal Husbandry, Agriculture , Horticulture ,Sewing and Bakery field etc,etc.

We were operating few TRANSIT
HOMES FOR DISTANCE PATIENTS.
These TRANSIT HOMES were in
operation near the General
Hospitals ( Kandy & Nuwara Eliya
to provide FREE TRANSIT
accommodation to the Poor Elderly
People who come from distant
villages for Medical Treatment
etc,.
There were many Elderly Patients making use of these TRANSIT FACILITIES on daily basis. The entire services were FREE OF CHARGE.

AREAS FOR PREGNANT MOTHERS & SERIOUS PATIENTS.
Our Organization have well Organized FREE TRANSPORT FACILITIES to help the PREGNANT MOTHERS and SERIOUS PATIENTS in the rural areas and in the PLANTATION SECTORS where there are NO EMERGENCY MEDICAL FACILITIES OR TRANSPORT.
